Fall is here and Thanksgiving is just around the bend, let’s celebrate with a virtual watercolor night! With such beauty in the air, we’re feeling grateful for all things fall, which has inspired us to start painting mushroom and fall floral portraits. As usual, we came up with a simple approach to water-coloring these mini botanical scenes and are ready to share that with you.
Whether you’re a beginner or an accomplished water colorist, we invite you to grab your coziest flannel and join us virtually via Zoom, Tuesday November 10th, 8PM EST. We’ll take you through some watercolor basics, give you time to play & practice, then dive into the final masterpiece.
We’ll also touch on the power of gratitude, so you’ll leave a step better at watercoloring along with a warm & bubbly sensation we call GRATITUDE.
You will need to collect your own materials for this one, and we’ll walk you through the rest. All skill levels welcome!
How it works: Sign up online, buy your supplies, and then the day before the workshop you’ll receive a link to the “meeting”, sent to the email address used to purchase the workshop. What you’ll need:
Watercolor set & a plastic palette for mixing colors (usually the top of a watercolor set works perfectly for this)
Watercolor paper, size 8.5x11 or larger, 140lb is great, a few pages
Paintbrushes (round brushes are great, a variety of sizes is best. At least one small brush size, like size 0-2 and a medium brush size 3-4.)
Pencil with a good eraser
Paper towels
2 cups of water
Ruler
Pipette (optional)
